|
Director Madhur Bhandarkar will bring the fashion world on celluloid in his upcoming project very soon. The movie titled `Fashion` will have Priyanka Chopra in the lead and will end his genre of women centric movies.
Madhur Bhandarkar has worked on the subject for almost seven-eight months. In order to get to the nitty-gritty`s of this subject he even interacted with fashion designers, buyers, choreographers and models and also attended Fashion Week in Delhi and Mumbai. Perfection is the forte of this director and to set the right mood of the film Madhur Bhandarkar will rope in real models and fashion designers. With `Fashion` Madhur Bhandarkar will turn producer, as the movie will be co-produced by UTV. As the movie deals with the fashion industry the movie will be out and out glamorous and most expensive project of Bhandarkar till date. He says, "So far all my films have been made within Rs 30-40 million. Fashion will have a budget of at least Rs 100 million. The budget is dictated entirely by the theme". This versatile director will come out of the deglamourised image, which his earlier films like `Chandni Bar`, `Satta`, and `Corporate` has given him. The movie will be based in Delhi and Mumbai while some portion of the film will be shot abroad. With an ensemble cast and multiple tracks like Page 3 the shooting for the movie will commence in December 2007.
After `Fashion` Bhandarkar is planning for a film with men as protagonists. The film will be titled `Jail` and the story will revolve around three male prisoners. Bhandarkar says "It`s about how hard life is inside prison, how the inmates come together to survive the brutality and the savagery."
