Spice Mobiles launches Windows-enabled dual-SIM handset `Spice D-1111`

Mumbai: B K Modi group firm Spice Mobiles has introduced a Windows-enabled dual-SIM handset `Spice D-1111`, which comes with a price tag of Rs 18,499.

In a statement, Spice Mobiles said that the handset is based on Windows Mobile 6.0 platform and is equipped with a 2 megapixel camera and stereo Bluetooth.

The handset comes with an expandable memory of up to 2GB. The handset also has embedded value-added services like Nimbuzz, Reuters, Mitr and Opera Mini.

Spice Mobiles Chief Executive Officer Kunal Ahooja said, "Spice Mobiles has always endeavoured to drive innovation in the mobile handset industry and set new benchmarks through user-friendly and smart product offerings. With the launch of Spice D-1111, we have introduced dual-SIM Windows mobile in India."

The handset also features an enterprise application email2SMS service, which allows users to read their emails as SMS without having to activate GPRS or download any software.

The statement added, "Spice Mobiles is offering one month free subscription of emails2SMS service on the handset."
