Lata Mangeshkar records `Bhajan` for Madhur`s next film `Jail`

Lata Mangeshkar has recorded a bhajan for Madhur Bhandarkar`s upcoming film Jail titled Daata sun, maula sun. The song is composed by music director Shamir Tandon. The legendary singer has made a rare appearance on Friday evening for a song recording.

The nightingale of India whose voice has been a part of Bollywood for over six decades now, said, "Today`s recording was really nice. A very nice song was made and we three have come together after Page 3. I`m very happy."

Bhandarkar stated, "So, it was absolutely like a family and it was a great moment for me when all this happened. I really wanted her to sing, so I asked her to record whenever she is free."

There was a buzz that the song was inspired by Lata`s popular bhajan from "Do Aankhen Barah Haath`s "Ae maalik tere bandein hum", the veteran singer quickly denied it. She clarified, "Ae maalik tere bande hum was very different. It had different words, different tune and in the picture also it was very different. Everyone thinks this song is similar to Ae malik tere bande hum, but it is not the case. It`s a different style."

The movie `Jail` stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, and Mughda Godse and it is slated to release on October 2.
