Kamat Hotels considers name change to Orchid Hotels

Mumbai-based Kamat Hotels (India), one of the leading hospitality groups in the country, announced that the company is considering changing its name to Orchid Hotels (India) Ltd and will ask for shareholder approval for the purpose.

According to a company statement filed to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), "It is proposed to change the name of the company from Kamat Hotels (India) Ltd to Orchid Hotels (India) Ltd. The company is seeking shareholders approval for the change in name through postal ballot which will close on July 6."
