Essar Steel opens its retail Hypermart in Orissa |

Bhubaneswar: Essar Steel, part of Essar Global Ltd, has opened its retail outlet `Essar Steel Hypermart` in Rourkela, Orissa.
The move is as part of Essar Steel`s philosophy of making customised steel products available to end users in geographies that have high steel consumption, according to a company press release.
Speaking on the development, Vikram Amin, Director, Sales & Marketing, Essar Steel, said, "Customers will have direct access to our products without the intervention of intermediaries, or restrictive terms and conditions. Essar Hypermart offers complete transparency to its customers."
Making its entry into retail segment in 2006, the company currently operates 65 Steel Hypermarts across the country. Essar Hypermart currently account for 20 per cent of Essar Steel`s annual revenues. It plans to expand its presence by opening more outlets through the franchisee route, the release added.
