Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Flags off Food Processing Road Show

Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar has flagged off the road show of food processing on Tuesday in an attempt to give boost to the agricultural products from Bihar.

These agricultural products from Bihar keep struggling to find markets in other parts of the nation in the absence of necessary channels for exports.

Appealing to the industrialists and agriculturalists to step forward and invest in Bihar, Kumar said that the state government had taken up extremely liberal policies for setting up food processing plants and cold storages that would help move quality Bihar produces to other parts in the country.

The Chief Minister said, "We are offering 35% capital subsidy on all industrial ventures and an additional 40% on infrastructural projects. Bihar is the home of several unique agricultural products because of its fertile land and despite lack of large industrial houses in the state it could attain economic prosperity by capitalising on its agricultural strengths."
