AMI introduces vehicle tracking system

Chennai: American Megatrends India (AMI India) has launched its vehicle tracking system (VTS) brand Falcon-i.

Speaking to the media on Monday, S Shankar, President, American Megatrends Inc, said that the company would also customise the product depending on the needs of the consumer.

Sridharan Mani, Director and Chief Executive Officer, AMI India, said that the system had both GPS and GPRS-enabled dual mode control and communication system.

American Megatrends India (AMI India) announced the launch of its vehicle tracking system (VTS) manufactured in India working on GPS as well as GPRS modes and branded as the Falcon-iVTS.

The solution is to be available across India and will be manufactured at the company`s Chennai facility.

Shankar, President, American Megatrends Inc. said, "This is a proud moment for our India operations as we see the Vehicle tracking market is expected to grow beyond the current USD 35 million. Our faith in our people is reflected in the launching of a branded VTS solution suited to the Indian market"

The solution can track route deviation, over speeding, fuel consumption, journey time, two way communication between the vehicle and the control room.

Sridharan Mani, Director & CEO, AMI India added, "Our VTS will cater to more then 40% of the current market needs in terms of monitoring, controlling and managing large fleets. Being a branded offering developed in India, Falcon-i comes with assured product guarantees as well as after sales support. We are set to roll-out our marketing plans across the country with a completely packaged VTS solution at an affordable cost peg."
