Rolls-Royce launches Phantom car in India for Rs 4 crore

Rolls-Royce has introduced the world`s most admired car Phantom in India with a price tag of Rs 4 crore, which is supposed to attract new millionaires in India.

Phantom is the most expensive car launched in India until now. Rolls-Royce Phantom is the ultimate car in design, style and technology. It is a perfect blend of traditional Rolls-Royce features and 21st century engineering.

The new car from Rolls Royce has 6.75-litre V12 engine. The all-aluminium engine has four valves per cylinder and twin overhead camshafts per bank. It features an engine that has advanced features like direct fuel injection, fully variable valve lift control and variable valve timing.

The Phantom car generates a massive power of 453 bhp. It has tremendous pick up and reaches 0-60 mph in just 5.7 seconds. The maximum speed of the car is 240 km/hour. The Phantom`s long wheelbase and rigid body help ensure superior ride comfort. The front suspension uses an advanced double wishbone layout while at the rear there is a multi-link system.

Rolls-Royce launches Phantom car in India for Rs 4 crore The BMW-group company had sold 1,212 Phantoms in 2008 globally, as compared to 1,010 cars sold in 2007 despite the global economic meltdown. The company also succeeded to sell 14 units in India in 2008, two more than previous year.
