Muthoot Pappachan Group starts online travel services

The Muthoot Pappachan Group, a well-diversified group with interests spread across financial services, hospitality, IT infrastructure, wind energy, real estate, in-flight catering etc., has introduced online travel related services division.

In a significant diversification move, the company has recently launched Muthoot Travelonline. It will cover the entire spectrum of travel related services like airline bookings, hotel reservations, holiday packages, booking of car rentals etc.

According to a media report, Muthoot Travelonline has made measures with leading airlines, holiday companies, hotel chains, car rental companies etc. for offering a wide range of choice to the consumers.

Speaking at a press conference in Kochi, Thomas George Muthoot, Director, Muthoot Pappachan Group said, "The Muthoot Pappachan Group, with a turnover of Rs 18,000 crore, will make the services available through its 700 branches spread across the country. The idea is to make these services available to the ordinary man who does not have a credit card or who is not tech-savvy."

Muthoot Pappachan Group starts online travel services R Manomohanan, Chief Executive Officer, Muthoot Capital Services said that the Travelonline will soon start offering train ticket also. Muthoot Travelonline is in a position to offer the most competitive airfares. While experienced staff members have been recruited in all branches a toll free number has also been commissioned by the company to handle queries.
