Eggxtra Foods launches selenium enriched Super Eggs |

Coimbatore-based Eggxtra Foods has launched selenium enriched eggs, which are said to have the capacity to fight diseases like arthritis pain.
The eggs are launched under the brand `Super Egg`, which would contain selenium, a natural antioxidant, reliable in preventing heart attacks, reduce arthiritis pain and regulate blood sugar levels, according to Balaji P B, Eggxtra Foods, a sister concern of Chandra Poultry Farm.
Selenium enrichment in the egg was made possible by feeding hens with a special diet rich in selenium sources and each egg contained more than 50% of daily selenium requirements.
According to Balaji, each super egg was cleaned, graded based on weight and printed with logo and expiry date. The product will be available in all the major towns in Coimbatore and Tirupur districts.
