Tamil Nadu tourism plans to launch its website in various Indian languages

The Tamil Nadu Tourism is preparing to launch its website in other Indian languages as the popularity of the state is increasing among tourists in the virtual world.

Recently, the Tamil version was launched and the Hindi, Telugu and Kannada versions are expected to trail soon. The website www.tamilnadutourism.org now has more features including a 24-hour helpline.

According to a media report, a senior tourism department official said, "We want to showcase the state among domestic tourists and also among the diaspora of different states. Feedback shows that tourists are more comfortable in reading about tourist spots and making bookings in their own language. So we have decided to introduce our website in other languages also."
