New York Independent Film Festival honours Indian Tamil movie |

Tamil movie `Mudhal Mudhal Mudhal Varai`, directed by Chennai-based Krishnan Seshadri Gomatam, has been honoured at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival.
It is the moving story of a director desperately trying to make his first feature film. The film has bagged the award for the `Best Drama Feature` in the `Best Feature film (International) Genre` awards category in the festival.
The film was part of the Indian Panorama at the International Film Festival of India 2008 in Goa and was widely acclaimed for its distinctive storyline that captures the life of an upper middle class family.
An official informed that it is also Gomatam`s debut film, which is based on his own original story and was among the 20 films that were selected in the Indian Panorama section of IFFI.
The film casts C P Satyajit, Anuja Iyer, E Kumaravel and Charan, apart from a number of newcomers. Thotta Tharani is the Art director for the film and cinematography is by Fowzia Fathima, editing by B Lenin, while music has been given by Aslam Mustafa.
The movie is set in contemporary India. The narrative follows a filmmaker, trying to make his first feature film. However, time is running out for him as his girlfriend suffers from a terminal illness. He wants to marry her, but she says that she will do so only after he completes his first film.
